Center for Healthy Sex presents a talk by Paul Joannides, Psy.D.: "The Guide to Getting It On" "The Sex Experts" is a monthly webinar series for sex therapists and specialists to present educational and informational material for the general public. Webinar Description: In this presentation, author Paul Joannides will explore three topics from his award-winning sexuality guide book, "The Guide to Getting It On." In Part 1, we'll look at the impact new technologies have had on dating and relationships during the past 100 years, and how experts were sure each new technology would destroy virtue and put an end to the family as we know it. We'll start with concerns that physicians had about the impact of the bicycle seat on women's morality, and we'll progress through history to sexting and Tinder today. In Part 2, we'll focus on the clitoris, and how different any two women's clitorises can be, both in how they appear to the naked eye and in how they respond to touch. This can be confusing for male partners. We'll also discuss the fears that many young women have today that it's "nasty" or not right for women to masturbate--and no, we didn't drop into a time warp. In spite of what you'll think when you hear about young women's concerns, it's not the 1950s all over again. Part 3 is about foreskins. There is a new generation of young men in America who are not circumcised, but there are very few resources for young women about foreskins, especially when it comes to advice about sex.
